remembrance day service at the sydney maori anglican fellowship church of te wairua tapu
on sunday 14 november 2010 the nzvia nz veterans contribute to s small church service in memory of our fallen at the sydney maori anglican church of te wairua tapu.
this year we contributed through the president ron haira and vice-president brian o'donohue reading the scriptures for the service whilst greg makutu gave a speech on the history of the poppy including why NZ and AU sell poppies at different times in the year. In NZ poppies are asssociated with ANZAC day whereas in AU poppies are associated with Armistice Day. this was followed by the laying of poppies and last post.
