anzac day church service at the sydney maori anglican fellowship church of te wairua tapu (church of the holy spirit) 1 may 2011
Veterans, it was an absolutely memorable ANZAC service at the Maori Anglican Fellowship Church of Te Wairua Tapu (Church of the Holy Spirit) in Redfern.
As always the NZVIA NSW veterans conduct their service the Sunday after ANZAC so that they can get maximum particpation due to the many other services and activities conducted the week prior.
This year our dignataries included: Marcelle Hoff Deputy Lord Mayor of Sydney, Martin Welsh NZ Consul General, Air Commodore John Samulski RAAF, Barry Glover NSW State Councillor, sub-Mariner David Williams Indigenous Veterans, Pastor Ray Minniecon Aboriginal Minister Redfern, other veteran organisations and our ANZAC Youth Representative Andrew Haira.
It was a very large attendence to our service and something we will look forward to every year.
