25th anniversary celebrations powhiri at te wairua tapu


    As part of the 25th anniversary celebrations at the sydney maori anglican fellowship church of te wairua tapu a powhiri for archbishop brown turie (te pihopatanga o aotearoa), bishop ngarahu katene (manawa o te wheke), bishop john gray (te waipounamu) and bishop te kitohi pikaahu (Te tai tokerau) was held on saturday 23 october 2010


    Due to the close association and partnership the NZ Veterans in NSW have developed with the church, president ron haira was invited to attend and sit on the paepae with other church and community leaders. Ron said that "it was an honour to represent NZ veterans at this momentous event in the church history and a privilidge to be in the presence of the Archbishop of the anglican church who himself is a veteran from c company 28 maori battalion". Greg Makutu also attended to accompany the NZ Consul General
